

WORKING WITH WEYMOUTH & PORTLAND BOROUGH COUNCIL & SPONSERED BY SYNERGY HOUSING - Groups and individuals from Weymouth and Portland are joining me, Julie McCabe, in the challenge to create fun items that will make up a float for this years carnival. The float is a celebration of Weymouth and Portland and themed around the sea, beach, gardens, Jurassic coast and a bit of history involving rats! We are knitting, stitching, felting etc with emphasis on creativity for fun and well-being.

In 1348 it is said that from a Ship docked on Weymouth Quay came rats responsible for spreading the Black Death to England. Come along to Weymouth Carnival and See our colony of knitted rats clambering up the front of our float.......
