'LET'S MAKE IT' - Community Project for Weymouth Carnival 2011

WORKING WITH WEYMOUTH & PORTLAND BOROUGH COUNCIL & SPONSERED BY SYNERGY HOUSING - Groups and individuals from Weymouth and Portland are joining me, Julie McCabe, in the challenge to create fun items that will make up a float for this years carnival. The float is a celebration of Weymouth and Portland and themed around the sea, beach, gardens, Jurassic coast and a bit of history involving rats! We are knitting, stitching, felting etc with emphasis on creativity for fun and well-being.

After an exciting creative workshop with Yr 2 Children attending St Andrews School, the children are now working incredibly hard, making brightly coloured wool chains by finger/thumb knitting.
